Your ‘Working From Home’ Playlist

By | Uncategorised | No Comments

As we continue to work out of the office, we thought, instead of the end of month new music roundup, we’d share our top tracks from our ‘working from home’ playlist to help keep your spirits up, stay motivated and keep entertained.

And why not try building your own playlist of your favourite tracks that put a smile on your face. We’re just here for the inspiration!

OK so a pretty obvious one to start with. You can’t beat Fifth Harmony’s ‘Work from home’ to get those toes tapping. Released in March 2016 and featuring Ty Dolla Sign, the song is primarily an R&B track that incorporates some elements of trap music and tropical house beats.

Recorded by Barbadian singer Rihanna for her eighth studio album Anti in 2016, Work featuring Drake became the first dancehall song to top the Billboard Hot 100 since Sean Paul’s Temperature in 2006

Wouldn’t be a good playlist if it didn’t feature an epic, legendary track from Queen and Don’t stop me now is guaranteed to lift your mood! Written by lead singer, Freddie Mercury, and released in 1979, the track didn’t initially chart well but grew in stature over time and has been popularised by its use in advertisements, television programmes and films.

Jumping ahead to the next decade to the fabulous eighties, Katrina and The Waves brought us the uplifting Walking on Sunshine in 1983. Originally written as a ballad, Katrina Leskanich decided to belt the song out as a more upbeat song.

And finally, let’s bring it back to more recent times with the release of Normani’s Motivation the back end of last summer. Co-written by Ariana Grande, the music video went viral due to the video’s intense choreography, more specifically a basketball move that started a viral dance challenge.

Hope that’s given you some inspiration guys! Keep on dancing!

By | Uncategorised | No Comments

The new Leeds City Council podcast has launched! KVH Studios have worked together with the LCC team to create and launch a 24-episode series of podcasts led by different speakers from a wide range of sectors and backgrounds.

Released every fortnight across 2020, ‘Leeds in Conversation’ covers various topics relating to the ’12 Big Ideas’ from the Inclusive Growth Strategy. The podcast brings together voices from across the city to debate and discuss everything from culture to creative innovation, digital skills to infrastructure and everything in between, on how all our communities and people can and will benefit from the growth of our thriving city.

In 2019, KVH Studios were successful in the tender to be commissioned for this project due to our fully comprehensive and innovation solution, as well as the advice and guidance we can offer due to the vast experience of our team in this medium.

We support LCC by recording, producing and editing all content for the podcasts, including the main discussion, advertising and creation of a bespoke audio signature piece to act as the introduction to each episode, providing a clear and distinct audio identity for the podcast. All from our purpose-built, high-quality audio studios in the heart of Leeds.

We also manage all aspects of the hosting, publishing and analytics for each episode, ensuring each is visible on all major audio platforms, including iTunes, Spotify and Google Podcasts, and reaches a wide audience. Weekly reports are provided detailing a range of listenership figures including episode breakdown, geographical information of audience, and downloads by time of day.

“In 2019 we made the decision to work with KVH Studios to bring to life the Leeds in Conversation podcast. They have been a fantastic partner in achieving our goal of bringing the inclusive growth conversation to the city, fully embracing the ethos of the strategy and supporting us every step of the way. Their expertise and advice has ensured that we have been able to deliver, and continue to deliver throughout these difficult times, an engaging, inspiring and thought provoking podcast that has seen some fantastic results after only three episodes.”                                       Eve Roodhouse, Chief Officer Economic Development
